| Program Description | ||||||
|
The Genesee Street Community Residence Program is a halfway house that provides a transitional living environment for women returning to the community from in-patient or outpatient rehabilitation facilities. The program focuses on restoring and building health, independence, and productive lifestyles, following the normally prescribed mutual help model of treatment. Following this model, the Community Residence Program provides an alcohol/drug-free environment where the residents can employ goals and objectives designed to facilitate the recovery process. The establishment and attainment of these personal objectives will allow women in recovery to maintain sobriety and to work toward becoming self-supporting and productive members of their community. The goal of the program is to provide women with a homelike, alcohol/drug-free environment together with access to a full range of alcohol/substance abuse treatment, educational, vocational, social and self-help services needed to maintain abstinence and successful sobriety.
