EANNACE REACTS TO SETTLEMENT INFORMATION Oneida County Executive Ralph J. Eannace Jr. reacted tonight to information reportedly obtained by the Syracuse Newspapers. "Any information provided to the media about our recent discussions in New Jersey can not be confirmed or denied at this time, in keeping with the order of the court. Clearly all types of possibilities are being discussed and these discussions are still highly active. There is no settlement package at this time. The parties have put forth a major effort over the last few months, and are continuing their work. We are still exploring the same types of possibilities we have found in negotiated settlements in communities from across the country and have discussed in the recent community dialogues with citizens of the affected communities. Once we have a settlement proposal we will take it to the residents of Oneida and Madison Counties before consideration and a vote by the county legislative bodies". |
